Remember: Tuition for Pre-K in the 2010-2011 school year will be paid by the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program through the West Des Moines Community School District.
Pre-kindergarten Our pre-kindergarten program provides kindergarten readiness experiences for your child through physical, emotional, social and cognitive developmentally appropriate curriculum. The children will be exposed to a wide variety of skill activities such as number and letter recognition, matching, classifying, counting, listening skills and hand-eye coordination. Early literacy skills are introduced through rhyming, alliteration, segment blending and phonological awareness. Pre-Kindergarten 4-day program Monday-Thursday 12:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. Class size for the Pre-Kindergarten session is 20 children Children must be 4 by September 15th.
2 and 3-year old programs All 2 and 3 year old programs provide an introduction to preschool. Our emphasis is on socialization skills through unit-based themes, large and small group activities, exploration, listening skills and beginning fine motor skills. Class size is 16 children and all children must be toilet trained.
2 & 3 year old 2-day program Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Children must be 3 by April 1, 2011. 3 year old 2-day program Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Children must be 3 by September 15, 2010.. 3 year old 3-day program Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Children must be 3 by September 15th.
