St. Timothy's Preschool is a non profit state licensed program administered by St. Timothy's Episcopal Church and supported by a Parent Advisory Board. Welcome to St. Timothy’s Preschool. Our programs are designed to give your child a happy, loving and interesting place to develop social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills using developmentally appropriate practices. While our curriculum includes no specific religious materials, we do provide an atmosphere of Christian love, respect for individuals, and caring for each other in a manner that develops self-awareness, self-esteem, and self-reliance. The staff at St. Timothy's continually strives to enhance the quality of the preschool program. This is achieved by
pursuing continuing education courses, participating in the Quality Rating Scale developed by the Iowa Department of Human Services, having an Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale assessment completed at the site and by implementing the Quality Preschool Program Standards Project developed by the Iowa Department of Education. The staff at St. Timothy's have achieved a B.A. or M.A in education and know that a quality early childhood education is essential. |
